In 2020, I decided to try to recreate a product that I had been pining over for a very long time. The original maker, unfortunately, had closed shop and was inaccessible for a custom one-off. With this self-imposed challenge, I dove head-first into the craft of leather making.
Fumbling my way through, I eventually ended up with something that was similar to what I was searching for, but something wasn’t quite right. Rather than shrugging it off and deciding that that was it, I opted to try again. And again. Each time I finished, I had a physical representation of the progress and improvement that I had made along the way.
Since then, I’ve honed my craft even further and developed skills beyond what I thought possible, including designing and producing my own products. This space serves as another creative outlet of mine to explore and grow.
