In 2020, I decided to try to recreate a product that I had wanted for a very long time, but had long been sold out. The original maker had closed up shop and was inaccessible for a custom one-off request. With this self-imposed challenge, I dove head-first into the craft of leather making.
Fumbling my way through, I eventually ended up with something that was similar to what I had been pining over for years, but something wasn’t quite right. Rather than shrugging this off and deciding that that was it, I opted to try again. And again. Each time I finished, I had a physical representation of the progress and improvement that I had made.
Since then, I’ve honed my craft even further and developed skills beyond what I thought possible, including producing my own designs. This space serves as another creative outlet to explore and grow.
